WHITEFISH LAKE STATE PARK
Whitefish Lake State Park is a popular recreational area located in the scenic Flathead Valley of Montana, near the town of Whitefish. Spanning approximately 10 acres, this park offers visitors access to the clear waters and sandy beaches of Whitefish Lake.
Opened in 1965, it provides an array of outdoor activities including swimming, boating (with a boat ramp available), fishing for various species like trout and northern pike as well as camping with tent sites and RV hookups amidst its pine forest setting. The campground has amenities such as flush toilets and showers.
The state park's proximity to Glacier National Park also makes it an ideal base camp for exploring nearby natural attractions while enjoying stunning views across one of Montana's most beloved lakes. Hiking trails are accessible within or close by; during winter months cross-country skiing opportunities abound on local groomed paths.
