WENBERG COUNTY PARK
Wenberg Park is a 46-acre camping park with 1,140 feet of freshwater shoreline on Lake Goodwin in Snohomish County. The park offers good fishing and a variety of other water activities. Located north of Seattle, the park provides urbanites weekend access to forested recreation without the necessity of lengthy travel. The fishing is great, and water-skiing boats and personal watercraft are welcome here. Wenberg is a popular getaway spot for nearby urban dwellers and a pleasant stay-over spot for travelers.
The state acquired the land in a series of five parcels over time from public and private sources. The park was originally a Snohomish County park. In 2009 it once again because a Snohomish County park
The park has two boat ramps and 20 feet of handling dock.
A daily watercraft launching permit and a trailer dumping permit is available at the park. Annual permits also may be purchased at State Parks Headquarters in Olympia, at region offices, online, and at parks when staff is available.
Wenberg County Park is located near Camano Island, Everett and Lake Stevens
The park offers one kitchen shelter with and one without electricity, plus 10 sheltered and 40 unsheltered picnic tables.
Pets must be on an eight-foot leash and under control at all times.For the comfort and health of all swimmers and sunbathers, pets are not permitted on the beaches or the swim areas. Remember to scoop Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Please carry with you equipment for removing pet waste.
Located 18 miles northwest of Everett, Wash., on Lake Goodwin in Snohomish County.
From I-5:Take exit #206, and drive west 2.4 miles to a stop sign. Turn right, and drive 2.7 miles. Turn left on E. Lake Goodwin Rd., and travel 1.6 miles. Park entrance is on right.
