WARREN DUNES STATE PARK
Warren Dunes State Park provides 1,950 acres of recreational opportunities along the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan in southwestern Michigan. The rugged dune formation rises 240 feet above the lake and offers spectacular views and excellent hang gliding. The park has more than two miles of shoreline, six miles of hiking trails and is open year-round.
The Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into state parks and recreation areas, state boat launches, state forest campgrounds and state trail parking lots. Details and information on how to obtain your Michigan Recreation Passport can be found by visiting the

Anglers can enjoy freshwater fishing in the park's lake. Species include bass, perch, and salmon among others. Fishing licenses are required for those aged 17 or older. Shoreline casting is popular but boat fishing options also exist.
Warren Dunes State Park is located near Benton Harbor, Berrien Springs and Buchanan
1. Warren Dunes State Park offers numerous picnic areas with tables and grills.
2. Picnic shelters are available for larger groups or events.
3. Enjoy a beachside meal at the designated picnic spots along Lake Michigan's shoreline.
4. Carry-in picnics can be enjoyed on hiking trails throughout the park.
5. The park provides trash cans, but encourages visitors to pack out their waste.
The cross-country ski trail is six miles round trip.

The park offers diverse birding opportunities with over 350 species recorded. It's a hotspot for migratory birds. Birdwatchers can explore various habitats including dunes, forests and wetlands within the area. The site is especially popular during spring migration season.
Please note that dogs are not allowed in the beach area at any time.
