LAKE HAVASU STATE PARK
The scenic shoreline of Lake Havasu State Park is an ideal place to enjoy beautiful beaches, nature trails, boat ramps, and convenient campsites. This spot is truly a watersport haven located near the famous London Bridge of Lake Havasu City.
The park offers 3 boat ramps, 47 campsites, a special events area (not available on holiday weekends), picnic area, and beach area. The Mohave Sunset Trail (1.5 miles) winds its way through the lowland desert and along the shoreline.
The Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden showcases the diverse life that exists within the park and this area of the desert. Birds, lizards, and desert cottontails are common sights.
Commonly seen birds: Gambrel?s quail, roadrunner, great blue heron, redtail hawk, American kestrel, killdeer, great horned owl, hummingbirds, turkey vultures. Commonly seen mammals: coyote, bobcat, desert cottontail, kangaroo rats, ground squirrels.
Best places to view: Interpretive Garden & the Mohave-Sunset Trail.
Arizona offers a non-commercial standard pass for weekday use at all parks, including weekends at most parks and the non-commercial premium pass which includes weekend and holiday access to the parks. The Lake Havasu State Park Contact Station includes exhibits and a gift shop.Hours: October ? March: 8am-3pm April ? September: Weekdays:7am-3pm Weekends: 6am-5pm
Number of sites: 45All sites are non-electric sites and can accommodate RVs and tents. Sites include a picnic table, shade ramada and a fire ring. Potable water is available throughout the campground. There is 14 day limit. All sites are at a first come, first served basis. There is a maximum of 2 vehicles and 6 adults per site. Camping fees are per vehicle.
Group camping is available for scout/youth groups certain times of year. Please contact park for availability.
The park has a large swim area at the day-use beach. No lifeguard on duty. Swimming is at your own risk.
There are 2 boat ramps, located in lot 2. There is also a Personal Watercraft (PWC) ramp, located in lot 1. Due to fluctuating water levels, check with a ranger about ramp conditions. Non-motorized watercraft may launch at any boat ramp.
Fish commonly caught in the lake are: smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, striped bass, various catfish and sunfish species. The park offers a fish cleaning station.
A valid Arizona fishing license is required for anglers fourteen and older. Licensing information is available online at Arizona Game & Fish, or purchase a fishing license at a local dealer.
