Park Visitor: Comments, Memories and Reviews
May 22 Summer is a bit ambiguous . . . by Red-Toad

On a recent trip, May 18 to 25, through Washington and Idaho, we discovered parks and museums may trigger seasonal openings for Memorial Day weekend.
Turned out to be a bummer at Farragut State Park, where we pre-paid for five days of museum visiting at the park and in the area.

April 10 Nothing There! by Disappointed

I went during the summer and it was awfully hot. There were pieces of logs underneath the ground that are caged. I felt screwed over.
August 5 Nice Beach and Beautiful River View by Nolan from Florida

Visited here a couple times with my family when I was a young kid and it was always fun. I never went to the Ginko S.P. but we went to the Wanapum recreation area quite often. There is a small beach there for swimming, picnic tables, big, tall trees, and great views of the Columbia River.

March 31 A Park Meeting Many Interests by David

A visit to the Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park was a highlight of our 1948 family auto trip through eastern Washington, and has been a favorite ever since. I was impressed as a child, and I remain impressed whenever I visit.
In addition to the great displays of petrified wood and Native American petroglyphs, the magnificent vistas of the Columbia River, historic buildings, and the pleasant grounds, the park is on a heritage road route where travelers once crossed the mighty Columbia by ferry.
