Murphy family reunion was at the Inn on June 10. We had good food and most especially great service from our waitress. Thank you for a delightful experience !! We arrived at our non electric camp site that we reserved to find it had no trees at that camping space. We had hammocks and envisioned a different experience. My daughter talked to the person staffing the entrance shack to camping and that person let us know which sites were not reserved and let us look at them and pick the one we wanted. The staff member was super nice in helping us have a better camping experience, she was very nice and seemed sincerely concerned about our request. We are so thankful to her for making our weekend great.
Park needs forest management.Why let vines & greenbriar kill all the trees? Is out of control. Inn had peeling wallpaper, 1 mattress turned upside down with pillow side down. Too afraid to turn it over to see why. Unsmiling check-in employees.Seal broken on sliding door obscuring the river/power plant/3 mile island-like view. We have been here 3 times previously.Yes, the falls are beautiful.Park would be such a treasure with some forest management. Really liked the soap.
This park is in very poor shape and the upkeep on it is SAD...found foliage to be overgrown and it was so bad the falls were completely not able to be seen...will notify all photographers to be sure not to visit > This very BAD managed park...also it is very mis-repensented in the printed material and on the website....WILL NOT REVISIT AND TELL OTHERS ABOUT MY BAD EXPERIENCE....
We tent camped in the non-electric site May 6,7,8 2011. The park is beautiful; trails are rugged and worth the effort, campsite was lovely and new bathroom facilities were fantastic...BUT our family of five managed a shared 11 ticks on us despite wearing deep woods off. Thus...BEWARE- the ticks are out in force! I thought the trails were beautiful. I thought the scenery was out of this world, and right here in Southern Indiana too! I think a place this great is just too great for some people. Speaking of, those were beautiful cliffs that we saw. We love your park. Visited your park on Sunday and was very disappointed with its appearence. The trails were not kept up and scenery was horrible because of all the downed trees. awesome ok i am from northern indiana. every year a big group of my juggalo family desides to go to all the different campgrounds all over indiana. this year we went to clifty falls! it was alot of fun! my bf (best friend) and my girlfriend was walking with me well my girlfriend is on the side closes to the road. i was in the middle, and my bf was closes to the river! well he turns to look at something and he walked right into a pole! it was hularious! lol! we also walked the trails and there was like 50 of us walking through the creek bed! it was awsome! i would love to go back sometime! THE LEAVES AT THE END OF OCTOBER ARE IN ALL OF THEIR SPLENDER. TREES COVER NEARLY ALL OF THE PARK WITH CURVY ROADS AND SCENIC CLIFFS ALONG THE TRAILS.. ENJOY! My daughter and I stayed 3 nights at the Inn in one of the Parkview Suites. The room was very clean. Every one we met and helped us were very nice. We played tennis every day. The pool at the Inn is very nice. We have highly recommeded lots of friends and family to go to Clify Falls. This place was great. The pool was good with an really enjoyable slide, great for kids. The trails we rough but really neat rock formations. Good camp sites all and all a good experience I spent the time there with my 3 kids and spent less than $30. Even though it might seem small, it is a great park. Huge waterfalls, nice hikes through wilderness, and great food at the lodge. A great place to visit! We were surprised to see an entry charge for a state park, but it was worth it! My son and I go to clifty about 3 times a week just to walk and play on the new play area which is really great!!! he loves the nature center too. we live close by and I would recommend any to go see for their selves
