June 10 incorrect information
Arrived at Belfair St. Park at noon Thursday 9.June.2016. Spoke to male black-bearded ranger about reservation for next week and found that desired camping site was open. Ranger stated that online reservation could be made at no cost and via phone reservation was $10. Not correct; I wish he would have just taken my money at the time without the additional delay and cost but apparently this easy process is not possible or something. This seems not only silly but actually increases my tent site cost over 50%. Whoever designed this system uses quite sophisticated arithmetic gymnastics to increase the cost of camping in a state park.
Quite discouraging really. Seems that a potential patron cannot arrive at a park, find availability of a campsite/tent site and pay cash for it then and there for a future date. What a system...

Our family and friends had a great time as always as we camped for the weekend.I was very upset at the fact of the one car per spot we had more than enough room for 2 cars but were told no.I can see that rul in the very smal camp sites but not in the larger ones that was tuff as there is very little parking in the park..

March 26 My old home stead by o.albro
I visited Belfair State Park in July 2011. I brought my grandchildren to see the site where I grew up as a small chld at end of world war II. I fondly remmber brining water to our house in 5 gallon mike cans from Big Mssion Creek, gathering oysters and clams from the beach, and getting caught by the game warden attempting to gaff salmon in Big Mission Creek. Life was good. The park today is a great place for families.
December 18 Beautiful park well maintained by We
Great view of Hoods Canal. Some of the site are a little small.
July 5 beautiful by jodi
A great park. We just spent 10 days on the water. Perfection. We did loose our mainecoon kitty on the 4th of july. If you were there this weekend and saw him please let the rangers or camp host know. i am heart broken. he is an indoor cat. Everyone at the park that heard about our cat jumped in on the search with no luck. I love the park because its clean and have never had a bad experience in the 5 years we have been visiting. Hopefully we will find our baby Joey.
July 5 Scenic, spots are close together by kittylove
We just stayed there during July 4th weekend, it was very crowded, lots of noisy kids. The spaces on the main and tree loop are very close together with no privacy. Spots next to highway are very loud with traffic noise. Lots of trees and very well shaded. Beach loop has no trees, close together, but great view. Nice stream for kids to play in, nice little park. Restrooms by beach loop are very clean, interior restrooms not so. Our kids 3 and 6 had a good time walking in the tide waters (and mud)looking for creatures, and playground. Close to town for grocery run or dinner out.

Noisy, Highway noise, serves as a staging area for Tahuya Forest ORV users, some Dirt bike noise, plus loud kids, If you are seeking quiet and solitude, look for different park. Overall: nice, clean, well maintained.

We are very happy at this park, when we can
get a space. Everything you have here is
wonderful.
March 13 very nice to walk
I love taking my dog to walk at the Belfair State Park. Particularly because there is not a leash law in Mason County. Its very nice to have a place to walk with him. The scenery is always very peaceful and relaxing. I like that they have a new playground as well that will get a lot of use in the summer. It is nicer to go on a sunny day because it is less muddy.
February 9 Nice in early spring
The tree loop has tall trees. Some 100 feet or more. The day has a great view of the Hoods Cannal.
